Healing Acne Scars

It's expected that around 80% of the population will be affected by pimple in their teens and twenties and 5% of mature people are affected by pimple later on. Commonly, people get well from acne without lasting effects but an unfortunate few remain with disfiguring pimple scars. Acne scars happen when spots turn into infected or don't recover properly. If you buy a highly effective acne treatment, scarring would be minimal if only the acne is healed soon. There are several skin care products and medications which can help enhance the appearance of very mild scarring, but deep scarring can be corrected by a surgical procedure or skin resurfacing.

Pimple spots (or lesions) will often make a red or hyper-pigmented symbol on the skin, this may not really a scar, it is a post-inflammatory change, commonly seen once the skin is trying to cure and regenerate itself and this will take months. If nowhere acne lesions appear in that specific area, the skin will improve repair normally and the scars will no longer be seen. If any colouring or spot remains visible after one year, it is most potentially fixed.

You can prevent acne getting that serious by looking for therapy immediately, but for many people it is often too late. The best news is though that acne scars may be treated to a degree, based on the seriousness and can be made less visible. Some treatment options for recovery acne scars are:

- Laser resurfacing.
Laser resurfacing is a fairly new therapy which helps to minimize facial wrinkles and skin disorders, like spots or acne scars. The technique directs short, focused pulsating beams of light at abnormal skin. Laser skin resurfacing cleans skin very accurately, layer by layer, resulting in fewer problems with hypopigmentation (lightening of skin). This common treatment is known by several other names, including lasabrasion or laser peel. This may be costly and time-consuming, you will need more than one visit, although outputs can over time be very satisfying. But based on precisely which process you have tried, the rehabilitation could be unpleasant and time-consuming.

- Acne Cream
There are many off the shelf acne creams that include glycolic acid-that are very powerful for minimizing the appearance of acne scarring. It can take minimum six weeks to check any real enhancement since acne scars lie deep under the skin. When there is no visible enhancement after 2 months, a doctor can recommend a better hydroquinone-based whitening cream to be applied in conjunction with a retinoid cream similar to Retin-A or Retinova. The retinoids will assist inhibit more acne problems and will exfoliate skin cells deep within the dermis, where the scarring form.

- Honey
Honey is the perfect natural substitute to surgery or otherwise damaging surgical treatments to minimize the appearance of acne scars. Honey is very moisturising and although it will not clear away the scars it will surely make them much less visible. The lowest priced and fastest way to cure acne scars is to just use the honey straight to the affected areas for 1 hour and then wash it out. If you have only one scar, use the honey before you go to sleep, protect with a plaster and remove and rinse off the following day. Adding a bit of lemon juice to the honey is just as beneficial for healing acne scars and pimples, since it is very drying if you have very sensitive skin it is recommended to just stick to the honey.
